The band 'Monday Morning' originally formed from four youth group members who had been playing along with some other early monday morning members for youth services at their church. In 2000, as the youngest member was finishing high school, they began to play regionally mostly in other churches for youth activities. In early 2001 they won a radio sponsored battle of the bands concert and were a featured opener for their first civic center show in Asheville, N.C. on a Summerjam music tour. Because of this exposure the band was able to book more gigs and raise enough to record their first album. It had ten songs and although primative by todays recordings the first 1000 copies sold in a matter of weeks. With a little cash the guys went to Nashville and recorded 3 songs with producer Stephen Richel.

They were featured on "The buzz" DVD and music CD released by Provident, which sold 47,000 copies and have also sold 10,000 indie CD's

The song "amazed" was recorded on September 11th while the studio watched the terror of the twin towers collapse, it reached number 5 nationally on the R&R Christian rock charts, it was in the top 25 songs of 2001 as independant.

At the beginning of 2003 the band was signed to BMG/Provident Music Group to begin recording songs for release of a rock CD to the Christian and College market. After the album was recorded in Los Angeles Provident was reorganized and a new president and head of A&R was installed. This led to a different philosophy about Monday Morning's music and the nearly completed album was considered too mainstream and it's release delayed unless the band was willing to cheese up the music for the Christian market. The band refused and asked out of their contract. At the beginning of 2004 the band was officially released and began working on new songs with John and Dino Elefante (Kansas, Sound Kitchen Studios, Nashville) for a mainstream music venture.

In 2002 the guys toured major arena's as part of both the Winterjam and Summerjam music tours and played before an estimated 135,000 people.

They would like to be involved with a label who understands the bands goal to create music for all rock listeners that touches the soul.
