TOP TEN INDEPENDENT MUSICIANS - SUMMER 2004

 

Born in late 2003 'the distance' is writer/instrumentalist Steve Pickles first band project. In quick time the band are fast getting established through the launch of their website www.borrowedsuperstars.com and 4 track EP. After various showcasing projects via the internet several tracks are set to be used in film production and on compilations.

Choosing to play stripped down acoustic gigs in hometown Leeds to test the songs in their basic format, the band feel only when the time is right, they will take the full production into venues.

If this isn't considered the perfect chill-out track then I don't know what is..... (Breathe)

With material flowing from various influences, 'the distance' set out to create a corner of music you can't quite define, with strong melodies and stadium appeal. They have two tracks uploaded on their garageband site, 'Breathe' and 'Mysterious Day' and a four song EP is currently for sale on their official site.
