Send us an email with your band/artist information and a link to your songs for consideration. Please note that we generally promote full albums or EP's via our distributors, but cannot offer the promotion of single releases.

Many of the sites where we might pitch your music will only accept quality productions. If your music is up to scratch let us know.

What is Online Digital Distribution?

Digital Distribution means that your music is being distributed or made available to consumers via a digital format on the web either via download services or promotional music retail outfits.

How does it work? 

Firstly, we collaborate with our professional distribution partners in the United States, and if you are an artist of Melodrift Productions they will actively pitch your music to major online retailers such as iTunes, Audiolunchbox, Sony Connect amongst many others. Most of these major sites will not sell music from unsigned artists.

In short we aim to get your albums available to as many online music retailers as possible, giving you more exposure and a much better chance of selling your music online to a wide variety of listeners.  

What about Copyright and other legalities? 

Melodrift Productions take care of all the legalities and paperwork regarding the distribution of your music. The artist or original owner of the work also retains full copyright of his/her music. We also handle ISRC codes and other registrant paperwork for our artists. All we require is your licence and permission to submit your music for digital sale.

Does this cost the artist anything?

No. A reputable label will not charge an artist in advance of distribution. What we will say however, is that whilst we don't charge you to get your music on these large sites, we do expect you to spread the word that your music is available as and when they become available on these sites; increasing your chances of exposure, success and sales.

How much does the label take from my sales?

Melodrift cut a mere 10% from received revenue, leaving 90% of the profit to its artists.

Are there any exclusivity terms?

Yes as with many reputable distribution deals, if you agree to license your music to Melodrift, the term of contract runs for one year, (renewable at our discretion). Many of the major retailers also like to be ensured that if they are selling your music via digital download that you are not offering your music for 'free' download on other sites.

Can I still sell my physical album?

You can sell physical albums wherever and whenever you like, even online. There are no terms in our agreement regarding physical album sales.

How do I join?

Send us a complete bio of your band/act plus links to your music. Should your music be suitable, Melodrift Productions will provide you with a Digital Distribution Contract and General Artist Agreement.
