After receiving a suspicious email from a woman named Marie-France Éveillard in 2022, the Canarian artist transformed the moment into the foundation of a narrative about a lonely cyber-scammer searching for affection. The result is a ten-track exploration of digital intimacy, deceit, and longing.

The record weaves the story of its fictional protagonist through an eclectic blend of indie pop experimentation, incorporating hyperpop, R&B, electric bossa nova, glitch, and blast beats. Marie-France’s voice, synthesized through text-to-speech software, serves as the album’s eerie guide, reinforcing the themes of artificial connections and emotional ambiguity.
