In an enchanting blend of pop and orchestral sounds, Kodiak Arcade and Cabin Fever Orchestra have come together to release their heartfelt single, ‘No Reason To Change’. This poignant track dives deep into the universal yearning for acceptance and love in our authentic selves, encouraging listeners to embrace vulnerability and connection.

At the helm of Cabin Fever Orchestra is Graeme Cornies, an accomplished composer and musician with over 18 years of experience, including work on beloved television soundtracks like Paw Patrol and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. With ‘No Reason To Change’, Cornies skillfully bridges his two musical realms—pop songwriting and orchestral composition—crafting a sound that showcases both his versatility and depth as an artist.

“Usually, my pop songs and orchestral works are so different from one another that they don’t sound alike in the slightest,” Cornies explains. “But this song represents the intersection of both of those sides of my musical voice, where a listener can hear how both projects would’ve naturally arisen from the same musical mind.”

The recording of ‘No Reason To Change’ began simply, with guitar and vocals, before blossoming into a rich tapestry of orchestral arrangements. Longtime collaborators Joshua Van Tassel (producer/composer) and Drew Jurecka (violin/viola) brought their expertise to the project, supported by Ben Trigg on cello and Bruno Migliari on double bass. The final touches were added by Heather Kirby at Dreamlands Mastering, creating a polished and captivating sound.

Cornies reflects on the collaborative spirit behind the track, noting how Van Tassel and Jurecka’s contributions have been pivotal in his previous releases. “This team’s work on ‘No Reason To Change’ creates a beautiful fusion of the diverse elements that define my musical world,” he shares.

The heart of Cornies' artistry is deeply influenced by the philosophy of Fred Rogers, whose messages of self-acceptance resonate throughout his work. After years of reworking Rogers’ iconic music for Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Cornies feels a profound connection to the idea that “we are worthy of love just as we are.”

“‘No Reason To Change’ echoes this sentiment, reminding us all that we don’t need to achieve or become something else to be deserving of love,” he states.

At first glance, the song may appear to be a romantic ballad about trust and acceptance. However, Cornies emphasizes its broader applicability: “This song could just as easily be sung to a child, or by a child to a parent, or to anyone with whom we share our lives.”

‘No Reason To Change’ is not just a song; it’s a celebration of authenticity and the courage to show our true selves. As listeners embark on this musical journey, they are encouraged to drop their defenses and embrace the beauty of vulnerability.

With its lush orchestral arrangement and heartfelt lyrics, this single promises to resonate with anyone who has ever struggled with the desire for acceptance. In a world that often emphasizes perfection, Kodiak Arcade and Cabin Fever Orchestra remind us that we are enough just as we are.
