Irish singer-songwriter Megan Burke has unveiled her debut EP, Not All Men, Apparently, a candid and emotionally charged collection that arrives as her most ambitious release to date. The project sees Burke transforming years of personal experience into a body of work that is both confrontational and deeply reflective. Produced by Budapest-based pop producer Áron Somody, the EP pairs sharp lyrical observations with polished contemporary production.

At its core, Not All Men, Apparently serves as an exploration of difficult relationships and the emotional aftermath they leave behind. Burke has described the project as a reflection of her experiences with men throughout her life, revealing that the writing process unearthed emotions and memories she had long buried. The result is a collection of songs that confront betrayal, disappointment and self-discovery with striking honesty.

Leading the release is focus track Make Me, which offers a lighter counterpoint to the EP's heavier themes. While much of the project examines emotional wounds, the single embraces a more carefree perspective, celebrating independence and the freedom to enjoy life's lighter moments. The contrast highlights Burke's versatility as a songwriter, demonstrating her ability to balance vulnerability with wit and self-assurance.

Already boasting an audience of more than 155,000 followers across social media platforms, Burke has steadily established herself as one of Ireland's emerging independent success stories. With previous chart success, major venue performances and growing national recognition behind her, Not All Men, Apparently feels less like an introduction and more like the arrival of an artist fully stepping into her own voice.
