Sydney-via-Britain outfit REFLEKTA are stepping into a new chapter with the announcement of their debut album Way Back Home, via Community Music and Unified Music Group. Alongside the news comes lead single “My Love”, a soaring statement piece that encapsulates the band's knack for marrying Brit-rock grandeur with modern indie urgency. Accompanied by an official video, the track serves as a compelling introduction to a record that balances celebration, introspection, and a search for connection in increasingly fractured times.

Opening with a propulsive guitar riff before exploding into an arena-ready chorus, “My Love” is REFLEKTA at their most immediate. Built around a repeated vocal refrain designed for communal singalongs, the single channels the euphoric rush of late-night drives and packed-out venues alike. Beneath its uplifting surface lies a layer of thoughtful detail, from heartbeat samples woven into the introduction to the sound of emergency vehicles, conceived as what the band describe as “an emergency in reverse”.

Interestingly, “My Love” arrived at the very end of the Way Back Home writing process. What began as a potential deep cut quickly revealed itself as the perfect entry point into the album’s broader narrative. While the single embraces gratitude and joy, the record itself widens the lens, exploring love, social division, frustration, and the enduring desire for meaningful human connection. The result is a debut that feels both deeply personal and strikingly contemporary.

REFLEKTA have built considerable momentum since emerging in late 2025, earning attention for previous singles including “What It Means”, “Ricky Polly”, “I’ll Follow”, and “Feel the Revelry”. Their blend of Oasis-sized melodies and Foo Fighters-style intensity has even earned them the fan-coined moniker “Fooasis”. To celebrate the release of Way Back Home, the band will embark on a national Australian tour from June 25 through July 25, highlighted by an album launch show at Sydney’s Lansdowne Hotel on July 4.
