Athens, GA – October 22nd – Vision Video, the post-punk sensation from Athens, Georgia, has just dropped their third studio album, Modern Horror, on October 22nd. This new LP marks a daring evolution for the band, delving into the visceral realities of trauma, war, and the darker aspects of humanity.

With a sound that pays homage to icons like The Chameleons, The Cult, and The Cure, Vision Video blends classic influences with modern malaise, resulting in music that is intense yet accessible. Lead singer and guitarist Dusty Gannon draws from his experiences as an army veteran and firefighter, crafting lyrics that confront the complexities of human existence.

Co-vocalist and keyboardist Emily Fredock adds a counterbalance to Gannon’s heavy themes with her lively performances and vintage synth melodies. Together, they create a dynamic that has resonated with audiences, earning praise from critics and fans alike.

Recorded at Maze Studios in Atlanta with Grammy-winning producer Ben Allen, Modern Horror promises a larger, more polished sound while retaining the raw energy that defines Vision Video. The album's fierce guitar work and melodic hooks are complemented by newcomer Ryan Houchens’ powerful drumming, enhancing the band’s signature style. Mastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios, the record is poised to leave a lasting impact.

Thematically, Modern Horror confronts issues of global disrepair and societal despair, serving as a stark commentary on current events. Gannon reflects on the album's creative process, recalling:

"Writing 'Modern Horror' has been an outlet for my reflections and frustrations of the current state of America and the world at large. I see a lot of regression happening in the world and it is so disheartening to me."

Having built a substantial following through engaging social media content and eight successful tours across the U.S., UK, and Europe, Vision Video continues to captivate audiences. Their first two albums, Inked in Red and Haunted Hours, received critical acclaim, paving the way for this bold new chapter.
