Cheerful Music, one of China’s most innovative record labels, is set to showcase the country’s electronic music talent on the international stage at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) 2025. The event, titled Building The Bridge, takes place on Thursday, 23 October, at Escape’s Royal Room and promises an ambitious melding of Eastern and Western electronic music sensibilities.
The label, which has gained recognition for hits such as YI XIAO JIANG HU (Subject Three) and XIAO CHENG XIA TIAN, has long been lauded for blending traditional Mandarin elements with global EDM trends. This showcase aims to deepen that cultural exchange, presenting DJ sets, live performances, and collaborative projects that traverse national and stylistic boundaries.
A notable feature of the night is the Live Song Plug segment, a rare industry-facing platform where topliners pitch new material to both Chinese and international artists. Coupled with a cultural exchange session that provides insight into music development across markets, Building The Bridge positions itself as both a performance showcase and a professional forum.
For critics and enthusiasts, the event offers a rare chance to witness the next wave of China’s electronic music innovators. By integrating Mandarin-infused tracks with internationally recognizable dance-pop and EDM sounds, Cheerful Music is challenging conventional Western-centric festival programming and broadening the scope of global electronic music.
Tickets start at €15, with complimentary passes available through networking drinks. As ADE continues to cement its reputation as a global hub for electronic music, Cheerful Music’s showcase underscores the increasing significance of Chinese artists in shaping the international dance music landscape.
