UK country artist Hannah Trim returns with the heartfelt track “See You Again”, written in memory of her biggest inspiration, her Nan. Inspired by a Route 66 road trip and the journey of chasing her musical dreams. Hannah explains, “ ‘See You Again’ is about missing someone during life’s happiest moments as much as the difficult ones”.

The way the track is written feels like a letter, essentially catching up with a loved one who is no longer here, creating an intimate and personal atmosphere. The emotion in the vocal delivery highlights how grief can bring sadness while also offering hope that the person would be happy to see you living the life you always wished for.

What makes the song work well, beyond its storytelling, are the contemporary country textures which helps to drive the momentum. The instrumentation allows the vocals to sit comfortably within the mix without overpowering them, ensuring the emotional core remains at the forefront. The transitions between each section are well executed, and while there are moments where the track lifts slightly, it never does so dramatically, maintaining its stripped-back and intimate feel throughout.

Although the track is deeply personal to Hannah, there is a relatable element to it, as everyone will experience the loss of someone important in their lifetime. It also captures the sense of longing for a person who had a significant impact on your life. At the same time, the song can be viewed as both sad and comforting, as it suggests that even during difficult times, there can be joy in pursuing what makes you feel fulfilled.

Overall, Hannah Trim has managed to release a track such as ‘See You Again’ that will resonate with many while remaining deeply personal. Her ability to put a piece of her heart into a song like this, covering a topic that is far from easy, is admirable. She approaches it with a sense of sincerity and grace that may hopefully provide listeners with a sense of comfort and peace.
